The crisp fall air is here and we have been spending LOTS of time outside enjoying it! Every evening before dinner, Laura takes a bike ride around the neighborhood and then we swing on our playground that Jeff built. Yep, life is GOOD and yes, fall is definitely my favorite season!
The first of many fun activities was our "Great Pumpkin Safari" that we took in Lakeland. I had a groupon and took the girls while Jeff was on-call that weekend. We stayed in a hotel the whole weekend with him and made a mini-family vacation out of it...so fun!
Check out how close we got to the lemurs!
This one literally jumped onto our stroller and LICKED it (you can see him mid-lick here!) He even climbed all the way up and tried to get Emily's drink!
The jeep ride was very cool. Look how close we are to everything!
We even got to hand-feed a ton of animals in the petting zoo with a spoon!
Here's Laura on the jeep...so fun!
Laura even got to pick out a pumpkin afterwards!
With this gorgeous weather, we also went to a big church carnival in the area!
We found our friend Isaiah there! Woo hoo!
And then we found Ashton there...double woo hoo!
We also enjoyed Sea World's Halloween event. Laura's favorite was the princess dolphin, of course!
And finally, fall is not complete without a trip to the pumpkin patch!
Just like her big sister, Emily just LOVES her animals. She just turned 14 months this Saturday and can already correctly identify and say kitty, doggy, cow, sheep, squirrel, bear, and others!
Emily found some wooden animals at the pumpkin patch. Just to translate, in this video you will hear her say, "Cow, sheep, sheep (yes again- poor baby, I'm trying to get her to say moo so I completely ignore her trying to tell me about the sheep next to the cow), and then finally moo" Enjoy hearing some of her first precious words caught on video!
