I was born in Dallas, Texas and part of my heart will always be there. It was so much fun to go back "home" and show Laura, Emily, and Joshua what being a Texan is all about. We saw cow statues, a real cattle drive, met real cowboys, ate authentic tex-mex, picked Pecans from a Pecan tree in the church parking lot, and even saw a guy practicing his lasso on the side of the road! The high-light was seeing our sweet Memom and Pepaw, Aunt Glenda and Uncle Lloyd, and my cousin Paula with her kids Landon, Evie, and Julie!
We also went to the Ft. Worth zoo and fed birds that looked just like Spike :)
It was Joshua's first plane trip. He even wore his airplane shirt for the occasion :)
We can't wait until we go back to Texas soon. Yee-haw!
