Fun At the Central Florida Fair!

Laura LOVES her farm animal books...especially ones with cows (she says "moo") and ducks ("duhs").  So, we thought we would bring her books to life and take her to the Central Florida Fair :)  Laura enjoyed getting up close and personal with all the animals and petting each one. She especially enjoyed the rooster "cock-a-doodle-dooing" and the cows, one of which mooed perfectly on cue!  The horse was pretty neat too.

Here's the baby chickens...Laura wants to pet one but they're stuck in their cage!

Laura is elated to find her beloved "duhs."  These are special ones with "hair" on their heads...we call them the "toupee duhs."

The horse drill team performed for us.   As a former colorguard member, I really enjoyed this.

Laura giggled as she pet the horse.

A real cow...so cool!

I couldn't get a good picture but they opened up the gate so Laura could get a good feel.  She thought they were so fascinating!

Here's a family photo with a baby lamb. You can't see him, but there's another sheep behind Jeff trying to eat his shirt!

Laura is having a great time drinking her water before the pig races.

The pig races were definitely worth seeing.  They competed for an Oreo cookie.  Pretty good prize, if I don't say so myself...ha!
